1. Data controller

This privacy policy applies to the processing of personal data by Raf Cars, located at Lebekestraat 50, 9406 Ninove-Outer, telephone 0472 60 78 39, email info@rafcars.be. Raf Cars is the data controller for the personal data collected through this website.

2. What data we collect

When you contact us by phone, WhatsApp or email, we only process the data you give us yourself:

  • Name: so we can address you correctly;
  • Email address: so we can reply to you;
  • Phone number: so we can call you back if you wish;
  • Your message: the content of your question or request (e.g. interest in a particular car).

We do not collect any special categories of personal data and we do not carry out automated profiling.

3. What we use your data for

We process your data solely to:

  • answer your question and get in touch with you;
  • follow up on a quote or appointment;
  • handle our services relating to the purchase or sale of your car.

The legal basis for this is your consent and/or the performance of a contract or steps taken prior to entering into a contract. We do not use your data for advertising and we do not pass it on to third parties for commercial purposes.

4. How long we keep your data

We do not keep your data longer than necessary for the purposes set out above. Contact details from a no-obligation enquiry are kept for a maximum of 24 months after the last contact. Data relating to an actual purchase or sale is kept for as long as the statutory retention periods (including for accounting purposes) require.

5. Sharing with third parties

Your data is only shared when this is necessary to provide our services (for example with a finance partner or transport company when you ask for this) or when we are legally required to do so. Our website runs on secure infrastructure; processors act only on our instructions and under a data processing agreement.

6. Your rights (GDPR)

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the right to:

  • access the data we hold about you;
  • rectification of inaccurate or incomplete data;
  • erasure of your data ("right to be forgotten");

This website does not set cookies. We do not place tracking or advertising cookies and we do not share browsing behaviour with third parties. You can clear your browser's storage at any time via your browser settings; this does not affect the basic functioning of the site.

Forms

The forms on this site put together a message that you send to Raf Cars yourself via WhatsApp or email. What you fill in (your name, phone or email, your message and the car it concerns) is also stored in Raf Cars' management system, so that Raf Cars can follow up on your request. A tap on Call or WhatsApp on a car is also counted there as an enquiry, without your name. Photos you select stay on your device until you share them yourself. The Google Maps map only loads after you tap it; from then on, Google's terms apply, and that choice is not sent to a server.
